The Coffee Project has never before participated in the Education & Careers Exposition. Through this exhibition, we want individuals from all walks to learn more about the coffee industry and what it takes for a barista to be skilled. We organized coffee tastings and an introduction to coffee training to give them professional coffee education. This expo is a wonderful opportunity for us to introduce the coffee culture and give the public a hands-on experience, especially given the recent rise in popularity of coffee. Many people expressed interest in the barista training and hobbyists course. The organizers did a great job in bringing different student groups to our booths, so that we could ignite their interest. Many members of the public also came to our booths to learn more about what we do. We were overall pleasantly surprised at the number of visitors, and by their response.
In Hong Kong, Form 5 students will be taking the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Exam (DSE) in a year. It is therefore time to consider our future career and further education options. We are attending the Education & Careers Expo after hearing about it in school and from teachers. I learned a lot during the show about the many useful programs that Hong Kong's universities offer. This fantastic display has helped me understand professional development, continued education, and even given us some ideas about potential careers. The experience was undoubtedly very beneficial.
