Tokyo - September 7, 2022 – NTT Cooperation (“NTT”) has decided to take part in future society showcases at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (“Osaka Kansai Expo”) by providing the Osaka Kansai Virtual Venue, and the Personal Agents for Visitors, with the assistance of NTT DOCOMO, Inc. (“NTT DOCOMO”) and NTT Urban Solutions, Inc. („NTT Urban Solutions“). NTT will help make the Osaka Kansai Expo a success by combining the NTT Group's technologies and knowledge and offering attractive services for visitors from around the globe.

NTT DOCOMO will be the company that is involved in the XR Business of the NTT Group. They will create a virtual venue online which reproduces the Yumeshima location in 3DCG. This project will include developing a variety of initiatives that use virtual technologies, such as AR (augmented-reality) and VR (virtual-reality), to integrate the real with the virtual. We will enhance the appeal and attraction of Expo 2025 through these initiatives. We will also create an inclusive Expo, where those who are unable to visit the venue physically, like the elderly, disabled and people from all over the world, have access to the virtual venue.
